The Marlborough Public Library staff, in collaboration with community partners, have collected this list of resources for residents of Marlborough and the Metrowest area. This list covers topics such as addiction and recovery, disability services, domestic/sexual violence, financial assistance, legal services, health information, resources for teens, and veterans' assistance, as well as many other topics.

Crisis – Mental Health/ Suicide

- StrongHearts Native Helpline: 1-844-7NATIVE (762-8483) is a safe, anonymous, and confidential domestic and sexual violence 24/7 helpline for Native Americans and Alaska Natives, offering culturally appropriate support and advocacy. Includes support for the unique needs of LGBTQ2S+ peoples. They also provide safety planning and advocacy help resource referrals.

Crisis – BIPOC Support
- Call BlackLine® 1 (800) 604-5841: Provides a space for peer support, counseling, reporting of mistreatment, witnessing, and affirming the lived experiences for folxs who are most impacted by systematic oppression with an LGBTQ+ Black Femme Lens. Call BlackLine® prioritizes BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color).
- The Desi LGBTQ+ Helpline for South Asians Free, confidential resource that provides peer-support to individuals identifying as LGBTQ+ and South Asian. The helpline at 908-367-3374 is available 8-10 pm Eastern on Thursdays and Sundays. Additional information and resources, including local support groups, can be found on their website.
- INARA Warmline: Free, confidential warmline is operated by the Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity with the goal of supporting, empowering, and connecting LGBTQ+ Muslims. The warmline is available from 5-11 pm Central on Fridays and Saturdays. Call: 71-QTM-INARA (717-864-6272).
- The Steve Fund Crisis Textline Text-based crisis line is available 24/7 supporting young people of color with mental health and crisis needs. Text “STEVE” to 741741.

- National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD). ANAD’s free, helpline is available to provide emotional support and referrals Monday-Friday from. 9a.m.-9 p.m. Central Time at 1-888-375-7767.
Compulsive Gambling Help

Spanish-language hotline also available.
- THRIVE Lifeline Trans-led and operated text-based crisis support available 24/7 to anyone 18+. explicitly focuses on supporting individuals belonging to marginalized communities. Maternal Mental Health
- National Maternal Mental Health Hotline (Not for suicidal crisis. For suicidal crisis call or text 988 for the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) The maternal hotline provides free, confidential, 24/7 mental health support for moms and their families before, during, and after pregnancy. The National Deaf Domestic Violence Hotline (NDDVH) is available to Deaf callers across the nation. ADWAS partners with National Domestic Violence Hotline (NDVH), whose headquarters are located in Austin Texas, to provide this valuable service for Deaf callers nationwide. Deaf NDDVH advocates at ADWAS answer videophone calls and emails 24/7. If using a voice phone, you will be connected to an interpreter for duration of the phone call. Deaf advocates, because of their experience working in the field of Domestic Violence for Deaf survivors and their extensive training, are uniquely able to provide crisis intervention, education, information and referrals for Deaf callers.

Mass211: Child Care Services & Financial Payment Assistance
The Department of Early Education & Care offers financial assistance to eligible families in the form of a subsidy. EEC will pay for a portion of a family’s childcare expense based off of their household size and income. Due to limited funding, there is a waitlist at this time. Mass211 is able to screen families for eligibility and place them on the statewide centralized waitlist directly over the phone. For convenience, there is also an application made available online that can be submitted at any time. A Child Care Subsidy may be available to eligible children ages prenatal to age 13yo (16yo if the child has a diagnosed special need). Mass211 can also help families identify and locate childcare programs in their area. To do so, parents are asked a series of questions in order to best assess the family’s needs.

Carriage House are grief support services for children ages 3 to 18 years old and their families. As part of our integrated behavioral health system, Seven Hills Behavioral Health offers individual and family therapy, group counseling, and public events to support families who have experienced grief and loss.

Samaritans provides lifesaving suicide prevention services throughout Massachusetts. Their services are free, confidential, and nonjudgmental. Offers Hey Sam, a peer-to-peer texting service for people up to 24 years old. Staffed by young people, Hey Sam gives youth the opportunity to reach peers if they are feeling lonely, depressed, overwhelmed, or suicidal, or need someone to talk to.
