The MCDA owns a property for disabled individuals, managed by The Advocates, Inc. This is part of the DHCD 689 special needs housing program. The 689 program is run and administered by The Advocates, Inc. meaning that the tenant selection and waitlist is incorporated with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) waitlist and housing programs. The MCDA is responsible for property maintenance and construction at the following 689 site(s):

The 689 housing program offers group home oversight and care for tenants with special needs. This allows those with special needs to live independently while still getting the help they need. The program helps to keep high-need clients in touch with basic programs and services that cater to the specific needs of each individual.
