Will be open Memorial Day: 10am-8pm

Thursday and Friday: 2pm-8pm (Starting Thursday, June 26th)

Saturday and Sunday: 10am-8pm (Starting Saturday, May 24th)

Located at the corner of Reservoir Street and Red Spring Road

Please note: In observance of Independence Day, the Boat Launch will be Closed July 4th. Boat Launch will be Closed August 28th and 29th. It will then re-open for Labor Day Weekend depending on staff availability.

Labor Day Weekend Schedule: (Please Note: Boat Launch will be open for Labor Day Weekend)

  • Saturday: 10 am to 8 pm
  • Sunday: 10 am to 8 pm
  • Monday: 10 am to 8 pm

Boats are not allowed to be launched after 7 pm. All vehicles must be out of the Parking Lot by 8pm (No Exceptions)

No overnight parking in the lot

Please Note: The Boat Launch is available for Marlborough and Hudson Residents only. Proof of residency is required. All Boats must be washed down before entering the lake. No Exceptions.

Rules & Regulations

  • Mass Boating Laws - Boat operators must comply with all Mass boating laws and the following:
  • Spacing - Stay 200 feet away from Marlborough and Hudson Beaches. Stay 50 feet away from all other shorelines
  • Speed - Drive at speeds that match the conditions, max speed is 40 miles per hour
  • Direction - Drive counterclockwise, do not stop traffic in the narrows
  • Seating - While in motion do not sit on the edge of your boat without guardrails
  • Swimming - is permitted only out to 50 feet from shoreline or next to your boat
  • Waterskiing / Wakeboarding / Towing - Persons being towed must wear approved flotation devices. A spotter 12 years or older is required
  • Demeanor - No alcohol on boats, be respectful of others, no profane, threatening, or abusive language
  • Personal Watercraft - Operators must be 18 years old minimum, or 16 after completing an approved boater/safety course and wear an approved life jacket
  • Enforcement - Members of the Fort Meadow Commission will patrol the lake to enforce these rules and will suspend boating privileges for violations or report them to authorities

Free Kayak & Paddle Board Program

(During Boat Launch Hours Only)

  • Kayaks and Paddle Boards are available for use to Marlborough residents only.
  • Proof of residency is required (Drivers License or car registration showing Marlborough address)
  • Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.
  • Must be at least 12 years of age to rent a kayak with parent / guardian.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age to rent a paddle board with parent / guardian.
  • Renters must leave driver's license with boat attendants during rental.
  • Rental time should not exceed 2 hours.
  • Kayaks / Paddle Boards must be returned by 6 pm.
  • No rentals after 5 pm.
  • Liability waiver must be signed before rental.
  • Please respect private property.
  • Kayaks / Paddle Boards are not allowed in swimming area at Memorial or Hudson Beaches.
  • Life jackets must be worn at all times.
