We would like to inform you of upcoming changes to traffic conditions at the intersection of Church Street and East Main Street. Following a traffic study conducted by the City’s Engineering Division, it has been determined that a No Left Turn restriction will be implemented, from East Main onto Church Street.

This change is being made to improve traffic conditions and safety. Traffic studies and observed conditions indicate that prohibiting left turns at this location will reduce accidents and improve traffic flow on East Main Street, and decrease cut-through traffic on Church Street which will enhance neighborhood safety.

The new signage will be placed by MassDOT within the next couple of months. Message boards will be placed to alert drivers of the change.
